Develop an Understanding of Different Stages of the Life cycle:
When using this tool for early learners the child develops an understanding of how animals, insects and plants vary in terms of their origins and their life stages. The child understands that plants start their lives from seeds and that frogs start life as spawn. With older children each piece can prompt questions and further enquiry and can launch them into a field of discovery about the particular plant, animal or insect.
Problem-Solving and Engage in Mental Exercise:
The child uses logic and problem-solving to figure out the sequence of the cycle. They discover through trial and error what sequence the development happens. If the child decides to mix all the pieces this requires a higher level of problem solving and mental exercise to figure out the lifecycle of the particular animal, plant or insect.
Improve Concentration and have Creative Play:
The time and attention required to create the life cycles for the different animals, plants and insects requires deep attention and concentration.
